Is the app fully offline?

Yes. All 8,969 qu works are bundled. After install the app makes zero outbound network requests — no account, no ads, no analytics. Optional iCloud uses Apple’s service only when you enable it.

How is this different from Tang/Song poetry apps?

iYuanQu is vertical to Yuan verse (元曲) — sanqu and zaju arias — not a mixed poetry catalog. It adds gongdiao / qupai knowledge, 162 zaju play collections, curated translation & annotation, daily qu, share cards, widgets, and Live Activity.

How much content is included?

What are the three content levels?

• Corpus — original text only (most works)
• Translated — adds translation and/or annotations (badge on list)
• Curated — translation + annotation + appreciation (seal badge; 45 pieces)

Do all works have translations?

No. 45 works show a curated badge (35 classic + 10 promoted) with full translation + annotation + appreciation. About 1,862 works are on the translated layer. The rest show original Yuan text. This is intentional — the app is a reading & discovery studio, not a full academic edition of every aria.

How do I read a zaju play continuously?

Go to Categories → Play (名剧). Pick a drama (e.g. Dou E Yuan). All arias are listed in original act order for sequential reading. All 162 plays show a synopsis at the top.

How does Daily Qu work?

A curated piece is selected for each calendar day. You can open it from Home, refresh for another pick from today’s pool, and see it on Daily Qu / Quote widgets after opening the app once.

How do I change font size?

Settings → Reading slider, or Detail → More → Font size. Range 50%–300%; syncs via iCloud if enabled.

How do vertical reading and pinyin work?

Turn on globally in Settings → Reading. In any work detail you can override pinyin or vertical layout for that session without changing global defaults.

How does read-aloud (TTS) work?

Tap the speaker icon on the detail toolbar. Uses on-device speech synthesis. Pause and resume with the same button.

What is Immersive Reading?

Detail → More → Immersive Reading opens a full-screen, chrome-free page — good for reciting or presenting on a large screen.

How do favorites and playlists differ?

Favorites = starred works (one tap ♥). Playlists = custom named lists you create; a work can be in multiple playlists. Use Add to playlist from detail or batch-select on the Favorites page.

How do I batch-edit favorites?

Favorites → Edit → select multiple works → delete from favorites or add to a playlist. Swipe left on a row for quick remove.

Where is reading history?

Settings → Data → Reading History — up to 100 entries with relative time. Continue from last-read quick action or iyuanqu://last-read.

What share card styles exist?

Twelve styles: Classic, Ink, Minimal, Vertical, Cinnabar, Dark, Celadon, Ochre-gold, Snow white, Scroll, Moon white, Bamboo shadow. Choose full text or excerpt; export PNG.

Which widgets are available?

Sizes: Small / Medium / Large on Home Screen; Lock Screen rectangular or inline. Medium/Large Daily Qu & Quote have Shuffle. iOS 18+ Control Center controls for daily, random, search.

Widget shows wrong or empty text?

1. Open the app once after install
2. After changing language, open the app briefly to refresh widget cache
3. Ensure widgets are allowed for iYuanQu in system settings

What is 品曲 Live Activity?

Optional Dynamic Island / Lock Screen display of the qu you’re reading when you leave the app from a detail page. Off by default — enable in Settings → Reading. Ends when you return to the app.

What Siri shortcuts exist?

Open daily qu, favorites, search, random curated piece. Configure Home Screen quick actions (up to 4) in Settings.

What does iCloud Sync cover?

Favorites, playlists, reading history, font size — not theme, accent, or quick-action choices.

Traditional Chinese display?

UI has dedicated 繁體中文 strings. Corpus text is stored in simplified Chinese and converted at display time for Traditional mode — you don’t need two copies of the database.

Can I hide tabs?

Yes. Settings → Tab Bar — toggle Categories and/or Favorites tabs.

How do I contact support?

How does continuous reading work?

Enable continuous reading in Settings → Reading. After a work finishes TTS, a bottom bar appears; idle for a few seconds and the next piece in the current queue starts. Title and body share the same long-press menu (copy / translate / speak / share card). Daily qu can send local reminder notifications.

Part 1 — First Launch & Interface

Welcome guide (6 pages)

On first launch, a 6-page welcome guide introduces the app. Swipe through each page, then tap Get Started. You can replay it anytime: Settings → Help → Usage Guide.

Tab bar overview

Tip: You can hide the Categories or Favorites tab in Settings → Tab Bar. If you close the tab you’re on, the app returns to Home automatically.

Part 2 — Finding Works (Six Ways to Browse)

Open the Categories tab. Six sections let you explore the library from different angles:

1. Theme (主题)

Curated collections grouped by topic — love, nature, farewell, philosophy, and more. Tap a theme to see its works.

2. Author (名家)

227 authors with biographies. Tap an author for their profile and full work list. Switch layout with the options menu: List, Grid, or Cards; adjust grid columns separately on iPhone and iPad.

3. Play / Zaju (名剧)

162 zaju plays — arias from the same drama grouped for continuous reading (e.g. The Injustice to Dou E with 38 segments). All 162 plays include a synopsis at the top (title, author, plot summary). This is ideal when you want to read a whole play in order, not hunt for individual arias.

4. Gongdiao (宫调)

12 gongdiao modes — the modal systems of Yuan verse (e.g. 仙吕, 南吕, 越调). Each entry explains mood and characteristics. Tap to see all works in that mode.

5. Qupai (曲牌)

23 qupai — fixed tune patterns (e.g. 天净沙, 山坡羊). Learn the pattern, then browse works written to that tune.

6. Full Catalog (全集)

The complete 8,969-work index. Use when you want everything in one scrollable list.

Layout & filter options

Tap the ⋯ menu on Categories or Author pages:

• Layout — List / Grid / Cards
• Section visibility — show or hide any of the six sections
• Sort order — reorder how sections appear
• Grid columns — 2–4 on iPhone, 2–4 on iPad (remembered separately)

Home shortcuts

On Home, theme and author cards show a preview. Tap View All to jump to Categories and land on that section directly.

Search

Open Search and type a keyword — matches titles, lines, and authors. Results open the work detail page. You can also arrive via Siri or iyuanqu://search?q=… (see Shortcut Links).

Part 3 — Understanding Content Levels

Not every work has the same depth of editorial content. Look for badges on list rows and in the detail header:

In the detail page, Translation / Annotation / Appreciation sections appear only when content exists for that level. Toggle each section on or off while reading.

Curated and translated content is editorially prepared for learning; corpus text comes from the historical collection with automated cleaning. Annotations are for reference, not academic citation.

Part 4 — Reading a Work (Detail Page)

Tap any work to open Work Detail. This is the core reading experience.

• Pinyin — global default in Settings; override per work in detail
• Vertical layout — classical top-to-bottom reading; override per work
• Center original text — on by default; aligns the main text block

Immersive reading

From the More menu, choose Immersive Reading for a clean full-screen page — ideal for reciting or presenting on iPad.

Long-press on list rows

In any work list, long-press a row for quick actions: Favorite, Read aloud, Add to playlist, Share, or Remove from history (in history views).

Part 5 — Daily Qu (每日一曲)

On Home

The Daily Qu card shows today’s highlighted piece. Tap to read the full work.

Refresh

Pull or tap refresh (when available) to draw another piece from the curated pool for today — useful if you want a different recommendation without waiting until tomorrow.

Widget sync

When the app launches (and when you change language), it writes today’s qu to App Group storage so Daily Qu and Quote widgets stay in sync — no network needed.

Part 6 — Favorites, Playlists & History

Favorites

Tap ♥ on any work, or long-press → Favorite. Open the Favorites tab to see all starred works.

Batch editing

Tap Edit on the Favorites page:

• Multi-select works with checkmarks
• Select all / Deselect all
• Batch delete from favorites (with confirmation)
• Batch add to playlist

Swipe left on a row for a quick Remove action.

Playlists (曲单)

Organize works into custom lists:

1. Favorites tab → tap Playlists or use Add to playlist from detail
2. Create a new playlist, or check existing ones
3. Rename or delete playlists from the playlist manager
4. The same Add to Playlist sheet works for a single work or a batch selection

Reading history

Settings → Data → Reading History shows up to 100 recently viewed works with relative time (e.g. “2 hours ago”).

• Tap a row to continue reading
• Swipe left to delete one entry
• Clear all with confirmation
• Home Screen Quick Action “Last Read” and deep link iyuanqu://last-read jump here when you have history

Part 7 — Share Cards (12 Styles)

From detail More → Generate share card:

Options:

• Full text vs excerpt — remembered for next time
• Export PNG — save to Photos or share via any app
• Style preference is saved automatically

Part 8 — Widgets (Step-by-Step)

When adding widgets, switch to the Lock Screen customization page and choose iYuanQu rectangular or inline accessories.

Add controls for Today’s Qu, Random Curated, and Search from Settings → Control Center.

Troubleshooting widgets

• Open the app once after install so daily qu cache is written
• If text looks wrong after a language change, open the app briefly — it refreshes widget caches automatically
• Widgets refresh at midnight for a new daily qu

Home Screen quick actions

Long-press the app icon. By default you may see Daily Qu, Last Read, Favorites, etc.

Customize (up to 4 items): Settings → Shortcuts → Home Screen Quick Actions — pick from daily, last read, reading history, favorites, search, categories, and more. Reading History shows a dynamic subtitle like “12 recent items” when available.

Deep links

The app indexes the first 1,200 works for system search. Tap a Spotlight result to open that work directly.

Part 10 — Live Activity (品曲)

Shows the qu you’re reading on Dynamic Island and Lock Screen when you leave the app.

Enable

Settings → Reading → 品曲 Live Activity — off by default; turn on manually.

When it appears

Only when Live Activity is enabled AND you leave the app while a work detail is open (app goes to background). It does not start the moment you open a work.

When it ends

Returning to the app (foreground) automatically ends the Live Activity.

第一部分 — 首次启动与界面

首次打开会显示 6 页欢迎引导，左右滑动浏览，最后点开始使用。随时可重看：设置 → 帮助 → 使用指南。

底部标签栏

提示： 可在 设置 → 标签栏 关闭「分类」或「收藏」标签。若关闭当前所在标签，会自动回到首页。

第二部分 — 如何找到曲作（六种浏览方式）

打开 分类 标签，六个分区从不同角度探索书库：

1. 主题

按爱情、山水、送别、哲理等话题整理的精选合集。点进某一主题即可浏览该主题下全部曲作。

2. 名家

227 位作者，含传记。点作者进入作者页与作品列表。点右上角 ⋯ 可切换 列表 / 网格 / 卡片 布局，iPhone 与 iPad 的网格列数分别记忆（2–4 列）。

3. 名剧（杂剧）

162 部杂剧——同一部戏的所有唱段聚合在一起，支持整剧连读（例如《感天动地窦娥冤》38 段）。全部 162 部在列表顶部展示剧名、作者与剧情梗概，适合按剧目顺序通读，而不用逐段搜索。

4. 宫调

12 种宫调（如仙吕、南吕、越调），每种附有调式说明与代表情调。点进可浏览该宫调下的全部曲作。

5. 曲牌

23 种曲牌（如天净沙、山坡羊），了解曲调格式后浏览同牌作品。

6. 全集

完整 8,969 首索引，适合需要一览全库时使用。

布局与筛选

在分类页或作者页点 ⋯：

• 布局 — 列表 / 网格 / 卡片
• 分区显隐 — 显示或隐藏六个分区中的任意一个
• 排序 — 调整分区出现顺序

首页快捷入口

第三部分 — 看懂内容层级

并非每首曲作都有相同深度的解读。注意列表与详情页的徽章：

详情页中，译文 / 注释 / 赏析分区仅在对应层级有内容时显示，可单独开关。

精选与译文层为编辑整理的学习内容；语料层来自历史全集并经清洗。注释仅供参考，不作学术引用。

曲单

把曲作整理进自定义列表：

1. 收藏 标签 → 曲单，或详情 加入曲单

是的。全部 8,969 首曲作內建。安裝後零外發網路請求——無帳號、無廣告、無分析。開啟 iCloud 後僅透過 Apple 服務同步你主動啟用的資料。

和唐詩/宋詞 App 有什麼不同？

愛元曲垂直深耕元曲——散曲與雜劇唱段——不是混合詩詞目錄。提供宮調/曲牌知識、162 部雜劇合集、精選譯註、每日一曲、分享卡片、小工具與 Live Activity。

收錄多少內容？

三種內容層級是什麼？

• 語料層 — 僅原文（絕大多數）
• 譯文層 — 含譯文和/或註釋（列表有徽章）
• 精選層 — 譯+註+賞俱全（印章徽章，45 篇）

所有曲作都有譯文嗎？

不是。約 45 篇帶精選徽章（35 經典 + 10 升格）含完整譯註賞；約 1,862 首為譯文層。其餘為元代原文。App 定位為品讀與檢索工作台，而非全庫學術注本。

如何整劇連讀雜劇？

分類 → 名劇，選擇劇目（如《竇娥冤》），唱段依原折次排列，可順序通讀。全部 162 部雜劇頂部有劇情梗概。

每日一曲怎麼用？

每天輪換一首精選。可從首頁開啟，支援刷新換當日池內其他篇目；開啟 App 後同步至每日一曲/名句小工具。

如何調節字號？

設定 → 閱讀滑桿，或詳情 → 更多 → 字號。範圍 50%–300%；開啟 iCloud 時可同步。

直排和拼音怎麼用？

在 設定 → 閱讀 全域開關；詳情頁可暫時覆寫當前篇目的拼音或直排，不影響全域預設。

語音朗讀怎麼用？

詳情工具列點喇叭，使用裝置本地 TTS，同一按鈕暫停/繼續。

沉浸閱讀是什麼？

詳情 → 更多 → 沉浸閱讀進入全螢幕無干擾頁面，適合背誦或大螢幕展示。

收藏和曲單有什麼區別？

收藏 = 加星號（點 ♥）。曲單 = 自命名列表，一首可同時在多個曲單。詳情「加入曲單」或收藏頁批次操作均可。

如何批次管理收藏？

收藏 → 編輯 → 多選 → 批次刪除或批次加入曲單。左滑可快速移除。

瀏覽記錄在哪？

設定 → 資料 → 瀏覽記錄，最多 100 條。主畫面「上次閱讀」或 iyuanqu://last-read 可繼續閱讀。

有哪些分享卡片風格？

12 種：經典、水墨、極簡、直排、朱砂、暗色、青瓷、赭金、雪白、卷軸、月白、竹影。可選全文/摘錄，匯出 PNG。

有哪些小工具？

主畫面小/中/大，鎖定畫面矩形/行內；中/大每日一曲與名句有換一首。iOS 18+ 控制中心可添今日一曲、隨機精選、搜尋。

小工具空白或文案不對？

1. 安裝後至少開啟 App 一次
2. 切換語言後開啟 App 刷新快取
3. 檢查系統是否允許愛元曲小工具

品曲 Live Activity 是什麼？

可選的靈動島/鎖定畫面展示當前閱讀曲作，僅在從詳情頁切到背景時出現。預設關閉，在 設定 → 閱讀 開啟。回前景自動結束。

有哪些 Siri 能力？

開啟每日一曲、收藏、搜尋、隨機精選。可在設定中設定主畫面快速操作（最多 4 項）。

iCloud 同步什麼？

收藏、曲單、瀏覽記錄、字號——不同步主題色、外觀、快速操作設定。

繁體中文怎麼顯示？

介面有獨立繁體中文文案；資料正文存簡體，繁體模式下執行時轉換，無需雙份資料庫。

能隱藏標籤嗎？

可以。設定 → 標籤列 關閉分類和/或收藏標籤。

連續朗讀怎麼用？

第一部分 — 首次啟動與介面

歡迎引導（6 頁）

首次開啟會顯示 6 頁歡迎引導，左右滑動瀏覽，最後點開始使用。隨時可重看：設定 → 幫助 → 使用指南。

底部標籤列

提示： 可在 設定 → 標籤列 關閉「分類」或「收藏」標籤。若關閉目前所在標籤，會自動回到首頁。

第二部分 — 如何找到曲作（六種瀏覽方式）

開啟 分類 標籤，六個分區從不同角度探索書庫：

1. 主題

依愛情、山水、送別、哲理等話題整理的精選合集。點進某一主題即可瀏覽該主題下全部曲作。

2. 名家

227 位作者，含傳記。點作者進入作者頁與作品列表。點右上角 ⋯ 可切換 列表 / 網格 / 卡片 版面，iPhone 與 iPad 的網格列數分別記憶（2–4 欄）。

3. 名劇（雜劇）

162 部雜劇——同一部戲的所有唱段聚合在一起，支援整劇連讀（例如《感天動地竇娥冤》38 段）。全部 162 部在列表頂部展示劇名、作者與劇情梗概，適合依劇目順序通讀，而不用逐段搜尋。

4. 宮調

12 種宮調（如仙呂、南呂、越調），每種附有調式說明與代表情調。點進可瀏覽該宮調下的全部曲作。

5. 曲牌

23 種曲牌（如天淨沙、山坡羊），了解曲調格式後瀏覽同牌作品。

6. 全集

完整 8,969 首索引，適合需要一覽全庫時使用。

版面與篩選

在分類頁或作者頁點 ⋯：

• 版面 — 列表 / 網格 / 卡片
• 分區顯隱 — 顯示或隱藏六個分區中的任意一個
• 排序 — 調整分區出現順序
• 網格列數 — iPhone / iPad 分別設定 2–4 欄

首頁快捷入口

首頁的主題、名家卡片為預覽，點 查看全部 會跳轉到分類頁並自動定位到對應分區。

搜尋

開啟 搜尋，輸入關鍵字——匹配標題、正文、作者。亦可透過 Siri 或 iyuanqu://search?q=… 進入（見 快捷連結）。

第三部分 — 看懂內容層級

並非每首曲作都有相同深度的解讀。注意列表與詳情頁的徽章：

詳情頁中，譯文 / 註釋 / 賞析分區僅在對應層級有內容時顯示，可單獨開關。

精選與譯文層為編輯整理的學習內容；語料層來自歷史全集並經清洗。註釋僅供參考，不作學術引用。

第四部分 — 閱讀曲作（詳情頁）

點任意曲作進入詳情頁，這是核心閱讀體驗。

App 啟動時（及切換語言時）將當日一曲寫入 App Group，供每日一曲與名句小工具讀取，全程離線。

把曲作整理進自訂列表：

1. 收藏 標籤 → 曲單，或詳情 加入曲單

設定 → 資料 → 瀏覽記錄，最多 100 條，顯示相對時間（如「2 小時前」）。

設定 → 小工具 → 跟隨 App 主題，小工具可隨淺色/深色/主題色變化。

控制中心（iOS 18+）

在 設定 → 控制中心 新增 今日一曲、隨機精選、搜尋 控制項。

小工具常見問題

• 安裝後至少開啟 App 一次，寫入每日一曲快取

設定 → 閱讀 → 品曲即時動態 — 預設關閉，需手動開啟。

何時出現

僅當開關已開，且你在曲作詳情頁時將 App 切到背景（真正離開 App）。開啟詳情的瞬間不會立即出現。

回到 App 前景後自動結束。
