iShangYang (爱商鞅 / 愛商鞅) is an offline historical workshop for the Book of Lord Shang. No account required. Twenty-four extant chapters ship on your device with four layers: original, vernacular, learning English, and Duyvendak 1928 public-domain English. Open about 60 reform edicts. Walk the 361–338 BCE chronicle and a fourteen-person graph. Keep Daily Reform on the Home Screen. No ads. No tracking. Data Not Collected.

This is institutional history. It is not a prescription for how to rule today.

Getting Started

1. First launch

  1. When the App Store listing is live, install from the App Store and open iShangYang.
  2. The welcome guide leads with four-layer reading, edicts, and the chronicle. Replay: Settings → Help.

2. Read today’s reform

  1. Open Home. Daily Reform shows today’s chapter.
  2. Random explores only — it does not replace today.

3. Edicts, chronicle & figures

  1. Open the edict hall: sense, present reading, and a self-check How to use — not a governing script.
  2. Open the chronicle (ishangyang://chronicle) and expand a year for the vernacular note.
  3. Open the figure graph (ishangyang://figures). Sensitive measures carry an in-app caution.

4. Recite & Reform Study

  1. The Proclamation Desk recites with line highlighting and a four-layer playback matrix.
  2. Reform Study: fade, fill-blank, quiz, edict match, and Moving the Pole.

5. Privacy & sync

  1. Core use is offline after install.
  2. Optional iCloud syncs favorites, lists, notes, history, and streaks through your iCloud.
